As a Registered Nurse with graduate degrees in Counselling Psychology and Leadership and Developmental Psychology and over 25 years of experience, I bring a unique perspective to supporting clients. By integrating education, self-regulation, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques, I offer a holistic approach to mental health.
With a deep commitment to helping individuals heal and thrive, I bring a wealth of experience and compassion to my practice. As an experienced trauma-focused clinician, I integrate a range of evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, CBT, Narrative Therapy, HeartMath, and self-regulation training. A particular area of expertise is working with couples.
My clinical foundation is enriched by diverse academic achievements, including a Diploma in Registered Nursing, a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology, and a PhD specializing in Leadership and Developmental (Child) Psychology. This unique blend of expertise allows me to offer comprehensive care tailored to each client’s individual needs.
I approach therapy with compassion and respect, understanding the complexities of trauma and mental health challenges. My goal is to empower clients by fostering resilience, self-awareness, and emotional regulation, guiding them toward meaningful and lasting change. Together, we can create a path to healing, growth, and personal empowerment.
I specialize in helping clients heal from trauma, overcome mood disorders, and resolve family conflicts. I use integrative techniques to address emotional wounds, foster resilience, develop coping strategies, manage emotional distress, and work toward stability and emotional well-being. My approach is rooted in fostering understanding, enhancing communication, and promoting healthy interactions.

Adrienne is a dedicated and compassionate counsellor with a diverse background in Human Resources management, business, and a master’s degree in counselling psychology. Raised in a family of academics and mental health practitioners, she has been immersed in the field of psychology and mental health from an early age.
As a mother of three young children, one of whom has severe disabilities, Adrienne has a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by young parents and families navigating life with a disabled family member. She practices from an integrative perspective, recognizing that individuals are shaped by a complex interplay of biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors. Adrienne firmly believes that our early experiences profoundly influence who we become and that understanding these patterns can empower us to live with greater self-awareness and intention.
Adrienne’s approach to counselling goes beyond traditional talk therapy. She believes in addressing the whole person—considering health, fitness, nutrition, self-care, relationships, work, and the power of new healing experiences outside the therapy room. She is a strong advocate of “walk and talk” sessions, valuing the healing power of nature and the importance of stepping out of the cognitive mind and reconnecting with the body and environment.
Personally touched by the experiences of suicide and grief, Adrienne draws on her lived experiences and specialized training to connect deeply with those affected by these issues. For the past ten years, she has worked with an operational stress injury treatment clinic, serving Veterans and First Responders dealing with PTSD and traumatic stress injuries. This work has been a profound source of inspiration for her, reinforcing her belief that even the most challenging cases can experience transformative change. Whether you’re looking to refine and enhance your life, wellness, and performance, or seeking support to process and move forward after grief and trauma, Adrienne is committed to walking that journey with you.
